The road to adventure – part two

After a rigorous hot pot in Manila, its time for a 3 hour(Traffic in Manila is.. Crazy) drive to San Rafael River Adventure!

1 week ago we booked a glamping with a twist overnight for two.

Glamping – A version of camping for unready people. 😋

In Glamping, you don’t need to bring the usual like tent, pillows, beddings, light, towels and such. They will provide it for you, all of it.

We got there at 9pm, 2 hours late from our check in time.

Reception, too dark.. Sorry

I saw my name on their whiteboard checklist and was greeted with one of their receptionists. We were handed two tall glass of Iced Tea, excellent!

The chaperone accompanied us to our tent on a floating raft by the river. (Couldn’t show you guys the picture, it was too dark when we got there).

Next day:

This is how it looks like.

Sorry for the angle, a jetski passed by and created a wave thus giving our raft a little shake.

All tent comes with electricity, fan, outlet to charge your phones, two single bed cushion, pillows, blankets, towels. You also get your own grill station. Meals are also available and booze but you can bring your own if you wish to.

sdr

For every thing that you need, you just text the chaperone who accompanied you to your tent site and he will deliver, that is why this is called Glamping, all you have to do is.. Relax.

You get free breakfast too.

Breakfast on a raft fronting the river is bliss..

There is a lot of things to do here, sadly I don’t have an action camera with me plus I don’t want to take the risk of getting my phone to fall into the river and it was also raining the whole day.

Better bring your own padlocks.

That is what they call it reflection island. Floating slide, kayak, jetski, paddle board, motor boat, knee boarding and wake boarding can be done here.

At 5pm it is time to pack up, clean up and check out.

We tried the kayak and it was super fun, again we didn’t have an action cam with us sadly we could not take a video or a photo of our kayak experience.

They also have ATV for rent and Horses for rent by the way.

For all guests, kayak and paddle board is free to use for an hour.

Overall, our stay in San rafael is awesome. It was seamless, helpers were really nice and for each station there’s a life guard on duty. Comfort rooms were quite clean, strong supply of water too.

All you have to bring here is your personal effects like toothbrush, shampoo, soap and please do bring flip flops.. Unlike me who did not, it was so freaking hard to walk around barefooted on a surface full of rocks and pebbles..just imagine what my feet endured. 😂

So there you have it, San Rafael river adventure. It was all worth it! We just had to shell out 4,500 pesos ($89) for the overnight glamping with a twist.

Thanks for dropping by!
